Evernote pioneered digital note-taking and remains one of the most popular note-taking apps today. After its launch, Evernote grew exponentially and had more than 10 million users by the end of 2011. As I understand it, if you do need to upgrade to Business later, the amount of Premium usage you have purchased will be available to you if you ever want to go back to Premium ( ). Pachikov worked on a prototype for 6 years before feeling confident enough to beta launch the product to a limited audience. For example, some people like to keep Word files and other documents in their accounts and constantly edit them there, and this will significantly impact their monthly upload allowance. If you do put your PDFs into your account, I'd say 1GB would be plenty (based on my past usage), but that depends on how you do other things in your account. But, I have a somewhat unconventional approach ( ) that may not be for you. I have gone paperless, and I probably use less than 100 MB most months. If you do upgrade to business, just contact the business customer service person and they'll take care of you. I think they will work out the kinks in a few days. The opacity here and inconsistency probably is a result of having just implemented the Business accounts. On the Mac, my account says "Premium," even though I am actually a Premium Business user (as far as I know), and I have the option to purchase an extra gig under account info. On the Evernote website, I thought I used to be able to purchase the extra gig when I was Premium, but as a Business user, I am not finding that option now (if it ever existed). It would seem to be saying so ( ), but it is confusing. ![]() You have to be Premium to be eligible to purchase the extra gig (as far as I know) and I don't know if the extra gig is available to Business folks. ![]() You will get a warning, but it is probably easier (and perhaps wiser) to check in advance to find out. Also I am trying to paperless in my home and home office, will 1 gig a month be enough or am I going to have to go with the Business plan? The Plus tier is now priced at 3.99 per month (up from 2.99) or 34.99 per year, while the Premium plan jumps from 5.99 per month to 7.99 per month or 69.99 per year. OK how to I purchase that extra gig? Will it tell me that I am at my limit and then offer to sell me another gig.
